I had a previous version of Protector Suite which was shipped with my Vaio laptop. After installing and updating to latest version I'm unable to import my backup. I remember my previous backup password, but it always says that it is bad or has an incorrect format.

Users reported that this application has compatibility problems if you update from a version to a major one. For example, if you upgrade the same version but change the build, the data will be accessible, but if you change from 6.2 to 6.4, 6.5 the data will not be recognized anymore. You might need to downgrade the application by installing the original one and keep it as it is without updating in order to work with the old files. This can be done using the Original Software on the Vaio Support page for your laptop.
